Hi, my name is Yoda, my parents are the artist Maggie Kinstle's brother and sister-in-law who live in Solvang. I was a rescue dog from Bakersfield who was shipped to an animal shelter near Solvang. I LOVED to run!!! The animal shelter had me categorized as a runner so the first day Chuck and Shirley had me I bolted out the screen door as soon as they opened it. I didn't know any better. Fortunately, a neighbor was able to bring me back to my new forever home. They hired a dog walker who comes by and takes me out all the time for exercise since they're up there in age and I don't want to accidentally knock them over. I love my new home, it's so comfortable and safe. My new job is being the a loving support dog which I have become. It feels so good become part of a family. This portrait was a gift from Maggie to her brother on his birthday.
